PSI
Peter
J. Wilkes and Patricia J. Hutson co-founded Protective
Services, Inc. The company was incorporated and
licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois in
1986. In 1998, the owners incorporated and secured
their license to provide security services in the State
of Michigan.
Before
founding Protective Services, Mr. Wilkes spent 18 years
with the Illinois State Police, where he was Director of
Executive Security and was responsible for the
protection of four of the State's Governors, their
families and their residences.
In
1979, after retiring from the Illinois State Police, Mr.
Wilkes was appointed by President Carter to serve as
United States Marshal in charge of the Northern Federal
Judicial District of Illinois, and served under
President Reagan, until retiring in 1986. During
his tenure as U.S. Marshal, he was responsible for the
protection of approximately 80 Federal Judges and their
staff of the 7th Circuit Federal Appeals Court, as well
as 90% of the Dirksen Federal Building in Chicago.
Protective
Services is a family owned and operated business.
We have over the years maintained a strong working
relationship with our clients. We believe that
quality of service is more important than quantity of
service. We have built our reputation by working
directly with our clients and not utilizing account
managers. If a client has a concern, they
communicate directly with an owner.
